This April, Achievement Training (ATL), based in Plymouth city centre, is offering opportunities for young people aged 16+ to attend a series of taster sessions to explore careers in various sectors.
See full details and information of what's involved below, and call 01752 202264 to book your visit.
What: Beauty taster
When: Monday 4 April, 1.30pm-3.30pm
Qualifications: Level 2 in Beauty, Hair or Nails starting from September
About: Attendees can relax in the ATL salons for the afternoon and have a treatment from current students, to see what life is like at ATL. There will be a choice of two treatments that don’t need patch testing first for allergies.
For those interested in hair, you can have a wash and blow-dry, or if you have newly washed hair the stylist will use curling, straightening or plaiting techniques.
For those interested in beauty or nails, you can have their nails painted with a colour gel of your choice from the selection they have in the salon.
Anyone unsure which to choose can come back for a second day to do the alternative option.
Those attending will spend time in the salons, which could be your new classroom, observe current students working and find out what it is like at ATL whilst having a pamper.
What: Animal Care taster
When: Monday 4 or Tuesday 5 April, 1.30pm-3.30pm
Qualifications: Level 2 and Level 3 Animal Care starting from September

ATL has guinea pigs, rabbits, chinchillas, geckos, stick insects, rats, mice, ferrets and toads
Attendees will also spend time with the course tutor in what could be their new classroom, where they will get to meet our current students and find out from them what it's like to be a student.
