Youth Hub Case Study: Liz

Liz met with our Youth Hub Coordinator, Rhianne, during a drop-in session at Barclays. She was really keen to progress towards a job role but due to her confidence and some additional health barriers, she was finding it challenging.

After chatting with Rhianne, it was agreed that mentoring and volunteering would be a great first step to building her confidence and skills for the working world. Therefore, she was referred to work with the Prince’s Trust to attend regular mentoring sessions and is getting more confident by the day.

With the help of the Rhianne and Hollie at the Prince’s Trust, Liz has now secured a regular volunteering role at Elder Tree Befriending and began a work trial with Woodside Animal Rehoming. Rhianne will continue to support Liz through her next steps and towards her goal of employment.

She said: "Everyone at Skills Launchpad has been very welcoming and I am very glad I have been able to work with them. Thanks to Skills Launchpad I have begun several types of volunteering that are very fulfilling and the highlights of my week. They also introduced me to the Prince's Trust, which have been incredibly supportive too. I’m really excited to see what the future holds and I’m grateful to have Skills Launchpads support along the way!”

We're so proud of you!
