Making prom affordable, one outfit at a time
For many young people, Prom is an exciting
milestone. But when money is tight, the cost of an outfit can make attending feel out of reach.
That is where Millfields Inspired's Prom Cellar comes in.
Last year Millfields Inspired supported 64 young people to find an outfit for their special night, with beautiful dresses and complete suits, including a shirt and tie, available for just £20. And they could not do it without their volunteers.
They are looking for friendly people to join their Prom Cellar team on the dates below, helping young people browse, try on outfits and hopefully experience that wonderful moment when they find the one!
It's meaningful, rewarding and fun, and you'll be part of a fantastic team helping local young people enjoy a memorable Prom experience.

Saturday 30 January, 10am to 2pm – two volunteers needed
Monday 15 February, 10am to 2pm – one volunteer needed
Monday 29 March (Bank Holiday), 10am to 2pm – two volunteers needed
Saturday 22 May, 10am to 2pm – one volunteer needed
Wednesday 26 May, 3pm to 7pm – one volunteer needed
Wednesday 2 June, 3pm to 7pm - one volunteer needed
Wednesday 16 June, 3pm to 7pm - one volunteer needed

Exciting news for 2027!
Our Prom Cellar will be becoming a PROM SHOP and is moving to a fantastic new home in the HQ Building. With better accessibility, convenient parking and more space, we cannot wait to welcome everyone into our newly rebranded Prom Shop. It is going to be bigger, better and ready to help even more young people find their perfect Prom outfit!
