TODAY: #NAW2023 Apprenticeship 'Myth Busting' Drop-in, 12-2pm

Did you know that an apprenticeship is a paid job where the employee learns and gains valuable experiences? That sounds amazing, right?

Did you also know, that alongside on-the-job training, apprentices spend at least 20% of their working hours completing classroom-based learning with a college, university or training provider which leads to a nationally recognised qualification?

How about this one though: ANYONE over the age of 16 in England who is:

  • early in their career

  • looking to upskill in their current job

  • looking for a career-change

  • not in full-time education

CAN DO AN APPRENTICESHIP!!

In support of National Apprenticeship Week 2023, which is themed around Skills for Life, we thought it was a good idea to kick our week off at Skills Launchpad Plymouth by inviting ADULTS (including parents) into our space on the first floor of Barclays in the city centre to have some real talk about ADULTS accessing apprenticeships as a way to gain new skills, change career, re-engage with work .. and bring in some expert advice on how apprenticeships (for you or someone in your household) can impact your benefit claim.

Interested? Drop in and see Lorna, Nuala and Jason, on Monday, 12-2pm at Skills Launchpad Plymouth.

Can't make it, email us at skillslaunchpad@plymouth.gov.uk and we'll arrange a call back.
