WEA have just the thing for you. They are currently running an online taster, and an in-depth online evening course on “Becoming Self-Employed”
The leap to starting your own business can feel like a very daunting process, but WEA’s online taster session is designed to provide you with an overview of the process of starting and running your own business. They will cover the basics, such as what self-employment is, and the steps involved in setting up a business. By the end of the taster session, you will be able to identify what a business plan is.

If the Taster Session has given you the thirst for more knowledge, then the Becoming Self Employed course will give you all that you are looking for!
You will get to Learn everything you need to know about starting your own business. From understanding the regulations, to incorporating your business, developing a sound business plan, finding funding sources and more. You will also get to learn about managing taxes, financial recordkeeping, and marketing strategy development.
What else can you expect from the course?
· Identify the legal requirements for setting up a business, including any applicable licenses or permits
· Explain what tax regulations and filing procedures are relevant to running your own business
· Identify suitable funding sources for your business venture
· Identify effective marketing strategies that will help build a customer base, and increase brand visibility
