There's lots going on at Skills Launchpad Plymouth at the moment, so to save you scrolling through too many posts, here's a break down of what's on and when next week.
Tuesday (open to anyone 16+)
Sector Drop-in Sessions, 10am to 3pm: For anyone interested in the construction and built environment or the health and care sectors, drop-in to Skills Launchpad Plymouth to find out more information about jobs, apprenticeships or further study. Our dedicated coordinators will be on hand to offer advice and support.
Aged 19+? The National Careers Service offer pre-booked appointments for help with developing CVs, cover letters, and for general careers advice.
With the NHS and Care in Plymouth recruitment fair taking place on Friday 6 October, Tuesday is a fantastic chance to pop in and see Jack and Lauren, our Health and Care Coordinators for some CV and interview advice. You will feel one step ahead, and ready to meet employers at the event!
Training Providers from City College Plymouth will be joining our Construction Coordinators James and Morven.
They will be on hand to tell you about the fantastic five week course that they are running in conjunction with Kier Construction. Pop in to speak to them between 10am-2pm to learn more about this great opportunity.
Wednesday (Youth Hub delivery for 16 to 24-year-olds)
1:1 Youth Hub appointments, 10am to 3pm with Rhi
Drop-in and meet with Hollie from the Prince's Trust to explore the upcoming programmes
Our Youth Hub Work Coaches from the Jobcentre will be meeting people for pre-booked appointments

Thursday (Youth Hub delivery for 16 to 24-year-olds)
Find Your Future drop-in at Skills Launchpad Plymouth: Our Youth Hub Coordinator, Rhi, and Jason from Care Journeys have cleared their diaries between 12-3pm to support any care experienced young people in need of a chat and some direction. There’s no pressure to sign up to anything. It’s just a chat, and you can bring a friend or your PA. Pop in and give it a try.
This week, don't miss the NHS Care Recruitment Event at Plymouth Guildhall. Whether you are already working in health and care and looking for a change, or interested in jobs or training, but don't have experience, this is the event for you!

Time: 9am-5pm
The event showcases a diverse range of roles and training across the NHS and CARE sector, including support work and healthcare, through to fostering and childcare.
