If you are aged between 18 and 30, unemployed and interested in a career within the hospitality industry, start your career with Springboard’s dynamic training programme.
Starting on Monday 19 July, ‘Destination Hospitality’ a three-week programme will be running from Monday to Friday over three weeks (with an optional extra week for work experience and/or supported job searching). The programme has been designed for anyone claiming universal credit, who has recently left education or is not engaging in education employment or training, as well as adults looking for a career change.
Those aged 18 to 24-years-olds will be linked in with Kickstart opportunities and 25 to 30-year-olds will be supported into work, utilising Springboard’s network of business partners.
During the programme, participants will take part in soft skills and employability workshops including:
Personal Hygiene
Communication and Teamwork
Careers Insights and Hospitality Economy
Employer Expectations
Work Attitude
Confidence building
Mindfulness
CV and Interview Skills.
They will also take part in hard skills training, and achieve qualifications in:
WorldHost: Principals of Customer Service
Level 2 Food Safety in Catering
Award for Personal License Holders.
Eligibility does apply, and candidates must:
be aged 18 – 30
be motivated and have an interest in moving immediately into work within the hospitality, leisure and tourism sector
have access to laptop/PC and/or smartphone.
