Our Youth Hub team are pleased to announce the return of the popular Training and Apprenticeship Drop-in sessions, launching this July at Cobourg House.
Taking place on the first Thursday of every month from 10am to 1pm, the sessions will bring together local training providers, making it easier for 16 to 24-year-olds to explore opportunities and take their next steps.
The first session in July will feature a range of providers, including City College Plymouth, Focus Training, Fotonow and On Course South West, giving attendees the opportunity to speak directly with experts about courses, apprenticeships and pathways into employment.
The drop-ins are open to any young person looking to progress into training or work, whether they are just starting to explore their options or are ready to move forward. No appointment is required, and visitors can drop in at a time that suits them.
By bringing partners together in one place, the sessions aim to provide clear, accessible support and help people feel more confident about their future.
Jo Lacy, Skills Launchpad Plymouth, said: “We’re really pleased to be bringing back our Training and Apprenticeship Drop-ins. They’ve always been a fantastic way for people to connect directly with providers, ask questions and explore what’s available in a supportive, informal environment.”
The sessions will run monthly over the summer, offering multiple opportunities for both young claimants and education leavers to access information on their training and apprenticeship options, and support with next steps from representatives of Careers Plymouth.
