Achievement Training currently have some fantastic short courses available. Aimed at those who are 19+, unemployed or earning less than £20,319, these courses are FREE to many.
The majority are 10 to 12 weeks, with a blend of classroom and home learning. You will also have weekly one to ones with a tutor.

Work in Social Care – Career Development Programme
This is a blended learning programme delivered one day a week at the centre, with some home study required. Starting Tuesday 18 April until Tuesday 11 July 2023 for 12 weeks. You don’t need any previous experience or skills, this is a starting point to help you move into the rewarding world of health care.

This qualification is designed for learners who wish to develop an understanding of autism and how to support individuals with autism. No experience required.

This qualification aims to raise awareness of the issues surrounding mental health difficulties, dispel some of the myths and misconceptions frequently linked to mental health issues, and develop learners’ knowledge of the rights of those with mental health issues. No experience required.

Understanding Safeguarding and Prevent
This short course is appropriate for continued professional development for those who have completed safeguarding courses previously, as it informs of new threats and ways of working that help reduce the likelihood of harm or abuse, as well as cyberstalking, cyberbullying, online grooming and radicalisation by extremists.
This level 2 accredited qualification is aimed at anyone who has a responsibility for safeguarding children, young people or vulnerable adults. It will be useful for anyone working in education, training youth work, youth sport, and community groups.

Certificate in Event Planning – Level 2
This course takes approximately 10 weeks to achieve, and is completed using independent study, with support from a tutor who is on hand either in the centre or remotely.
