Thinking about a career launch, a career change or something just for you? City College Plymouth's Adult Skills Open Evening on Wednesday 4 January, 6-8pm at Kings Road could be the perfect opportunity to explore your options - Adult Skills Open Evening | City College Plymouth (cityplym.ac.uk)
With an extensive adult skills provision (and an excellent reputation for adult learning that goes back years!) the possibilities at the College are huge, so why not give yourself a gift: new skills, a new job, a new start!
Many courses are offered part-time, meaning you can study around your work or family commitments, and the part-time offer includes many university-level courses and Access to Higher Education. The College also offers English and maths for FREE if you don’t already have a GCSE in these subjects at grade 4 or above (the old grade C) and you can also retake GCSE science which is often a requirement for degrees such as teaching or nursing.
Recently the College was also awarded funding to offer free courses to adults in green construction, core digital and IT skills, and digital skills for the healthcare sector. The bootcamps start in January and some are suitable for those looking to start a new career, whilst others are designed to upskill current employees*.
