If you're looking to build your confidence, develop workplace skills and gain a recognised qualification, the Introduction to Customer Service Level 1 course from On Course South West could be the perfect next step.

Starting this November, this six-week course is designed for adults aged 19 and over who want to develop the skills needed to succeed in customer-facing roles. Whether you're preparing for work, returning to learning, or exploring opportunities in retail, hospitality, business administration or office-based environments, the course provides a practical introduction to customer service and the skills employers are looking for.

No formal qualifications are required to join. Learners simply need basic reading and writing skills, alongside a willingness to participate in activities and work with others.

Throughout the course, participants will learn how to create a positive first impression, communicate clearly and confidently, understand customer needs, and provide helpful and professional service. The programme also focuses on teamwork and workplace behaviours, helping learners develop the skills and attitudes that employers value.

Learning takes place in a supportive environment through classroom-based sessions, practical exercises, group discussions and role-play activities based on real-life customer service scenarios. There may also be opportunities to visit local businesses and see customer service in action.

Upon successful completion, learners will achieve a recognised Level 1 qualification and can progress onto further learning opportunities, including Level 2 courses in customer service, business administration or retail. The course can also support progression into apprenticeships and entry-level employment in customer-facing sectors.

Whether you're looking to improve your confidence, develop valuable workplace skills or take the first step towards a new career, this course offers a great foundation for future success.
