It's likely that by now you now that Skills Launchpad Plymouth works in city-wide partnership to connect businesses and the people of Plymouth with opportunities for skills, training, education, careers and jobs.
As part of our free service, we host a fortnightly Military Tuesday session with key partners such as the Forces Employment Charity (FEC) and The Career Transition Partnership (CTP) to support veterans, serving members of HM Armed Forces and their families to access opportunities.
This June, we are set to expand our offer and, in collaboration with both CTP and FEC, will be hosting a Military Employment Showcase event to specifically support service leavers and their families’ to access current and upcoming job vacancies and career opportunities in the city.
This event will offer serving members and veterans of HM Armed Forces and their families opportunities to meet local employers with existing and upcoming job vacancies and career opportunities to start planning their future.
Scheduled to be held on Wednesday 21 June, between 2-6pm at Stonehouse Barracks, the Skills Launchpad Plymouth team will be joined by 15 to 20 Plymouth-based employers and support organisations, to showcase the opportunities available.
There will also be a keynote speaker, Paul Montgomery, who will be joining the event to share his experiences of leaving the services and transitioning into self-employment.
Representatives will also be available from both FEC and CTP, should you wish to register for support if you are not already connected.
Whether you are a service leaver or family member interested in a particular sector, or just want to explore local opportunities in Plymouth, this event could be your first step in planning your future.
Due to security and capacity, booking is essential. There will be two sessions and you will be asked to identify which session you would like to attend when you book, which you can do by clicking here.
