Skills Launchpad Plymouth to host four day event in city centre, 7th – 10th July

A four day job and skills event will be held at Place De Brest outside Barclays run by Skills Launchpad Plymouth, the city’s one-stop-shop for skills, training, education, careers and jobs.


This inaugural four day job and skills event is being held from Wednesday 7th until Saturday 10th July from 10am until 2pm each day and will support education leavers, job seekers, those on furlough and those looking for a change of career direction. Local people can drop by to find out about current opportunities, gain industry insight, access independent advice and guidance on the next steps to take for jobs, apprenticeships, Kickstarts, training and education.


The core Skills Launchpad Plymouth team will be joined by representatives from Construction (on Wednesday 7th), Health and Care (on Thursday 8th), and Hospitality and Retail (on Friday 9th) industries along with Jobcentre Plus at the four day event to chat with attendees and discuss various roles, current job opportunities, training and skills requirements, sign-posting and career paths available. Furthermore, there will be an Adult Education Day (on Saturday 10th) during which there will be people from OCSW (On Course South West) and DWP (Department for Work and Pensions) there to give information and guidance.


There is no requirement to pre-register to attend the Skills Launchpad Plymouth event which will be open from 10am until 2pm from Wednesday 7th until Saturday 10th July.
