These courses are designed to support young people who want to build confidence, develop essential life skills, and take positive steps towards education, training, or employment. Young Devon’s programmes focus on empowering young people through practical, hands-on learning delivered in a supportive and inclusive environment.
Independent Life Skills
The Independent Life Skills course is designed to support young people back into education, develop life skills, and build confidence. Awarding an Entry Level 3 qualification, the course is delivered through small group work and fun, engaging projects.
Work-Based Learning
The Work-Based Learning course helps young people develop functional and work-based skills. This Level 1 employability course offers the potential to achieve up to a Level 2 English and Maths Functional Skills qualification. The 12-week skills training programme includes industry and business insight, CV support, and mock interview practice.
If you or someone you support is aged 16–18 and lives in or near Paignton or Plymouth, now is the perfect time to apply. Places are limited, so early applications are encouraged.
