Making Carers Count

Making Carers Count is a multi-partnership programme aiming to identify and support young carers. This group of individuals have previously been under-represented among community groups and so the work that Young Adult Carers Support Coordinators, Nicolle and Alex, are doing with this project will make a big difference.

Nicolle and Alex currently reach individuals who have been disproportionately affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, but they are also creating new and wider collaborations, extending engagement methods, increasing learning, and enhancing how support is delivered to unpaid carers from this group.

On Monday 14 February from 5.30pm - 8.30pm, they are hosting a young carers support group for those aged 18 to 25, so if you are or know a young carer, please help to spread the word that there is support for your/their caring role! Those attending the group will also enjoy free food and a forum. It's hosted at The Salvation Army, 56 Lancaster Gardens, Plymouth, PL5 4AA.

Please call or text Nicolle on 07305043634, Alex on 07496641182, or email YACS@improvinglivesplymouth.org.uk for more information: ,
