Now more than ever, we need to raise awareness of lifelong learning and the many benefits of adult education - which is great, because next week (7-11 November) is Lifelong Learning Week!
To celebrate, we are kicking things off with a day of free taster activities from our home on the first floor of Barclays in Plymouth city centre.
What can you expect on Monday 7 November?
Between 10am - 12pm we have an art exhibition taking place, as well as the chance to explore creative art and writing courses, as well how to improve your English and maths.
At 11.30am, Barclays are joining us to speak to people about Money Mentors - which is all about supporting people with their finances.
In the afternoon, between 1-3pm, we will have blood pressure testing, germy activities and even a cyber hacking activity taking place.
If that's not enough, then throughout the day, between 10am-4pm, our Adult Hub Coordinator will be on hand to provide 1:1 information, advice and guidance, as well as signposting to Plymouth's local training providers.
No need to book, just drop-in and see us, try your hand at the activities and meet some new people. If you have any questions or concerns, please do email skillslaunchpad@plymouth.gov.uk or give Lorna a call or text directly on 07917264736
