Green Thinkers Taster Day at Market Hall

Are you aged between 18-24 and interested in trying out some practical green skills?

The Real Ideas Organisation Green Thinkers group are inviting you to come along on Wednesday 8 June between 10am and 1pm to get a flavour of their six week programme.

Through a range of learning activities and hands on work experience, you will learn about working with green spaces, gain industry insight and develop the skills to secure a job that’s just right for you.

In the six week programme, you will cover topics such as:

  • the benefits of urban green spaces for communities and the planet

  • how to care for Plymouth’s green spaces

  • hands on practical skills such as tree first aid, planting and using tools to manage overgrowth

  • how to transform disused spaces to increase biodiversity in cities

  • crucial skills for working in the 21st century – communication, research, organisation, relationship building and creative thinking.
