Building Plymouth invites you to immerse yourself in the biggest capital build programme in 25 years
Key local, regional and national construction contractors are opening major construction sites across Plymouth from Monday 9 to Friday 13 May as part of the Building Plymouth showcase event - Open Sites Week.

Building Plymouth is offering a unique opportunity for local people to see ‘behind the scenes’ at fifteen major ‘live’ construction sites including a new town build, residential projects, heritage projects and green skills sites as well as office and education site builds.
Aiming to inspire young people, career changers and job seekers to join this thriving and vibrant industry, as well as engaging with local residents, Open Sites will allow you exclusive access to experience how the various buildings and structures are constructed, and the diverse range of skills and professions needed on-site to deliver these projects.
Did you know that there are currently 180 different job roles in construction and the built environment?
