Youth Hub Opportunities Fair connects young people to their next steps

The Youth Hub kicked off 2026 with a successful Youth Hub Opportunities Fair, as part of its New Year, New Start programmes at Cobourg House. This bespoke event was for young people currently engaging with the Youth Hub, the event brought together a wide range of local employers, training providers and support organisations, all committed to helping young people take their next steps toward skills, education, training and employment.

Led by the Youth Hub Team and supported by the sector skills partnerships Caring Plymouth, Building Plymouth and Welcoming Plymouth, the fair showcased the breadth of opportunities available across the city. Young people had the chance to meet directly with representatives from University Hospitals Plymouth Apprenticeships Team, The Kings Trust, Skills Group, Alpha Care South West and On Course South West, gaining insight into pathways that match their interests and goals.

The event welcomed 60 young people, each coming along to explore options, ask questions and connect with organisations ready to support their journey. The fair demonstrated the strength of Plymouth’s collaborative approach to youth support, ensuring that every young person has access to clear, positive opportunities for the year ahead.
