Hi it's Emma, Adult Hub Coordinator for Skills Launchpad Plymouth. I hope you have been enjoying the lovely weather! I wanted to let you know about a few great opportunities on offer at Skills Launchpad Plymouth on the first floor of Barclays in the city centre next week:
Monday 25 July: Adult Hub drop-in
12-3pm
If you are looking to start up your own business and want some advice on how to get started, pop into Barclays between 12-3pm to speak to Lee from OUTSET, who will be able to provide you with FREE specialist advice tailored to suit your needs.
If you would like to upskill, or fancy learning something new that may help you progress in your current job, or you’re thinking of trying something completely different pop in and see Sean from SMART skills who will be able to help you find a course to suit you and for FREE.
Tuesday 26 July (Military Tuesday): Adult Hub drop-in
12-3pm
Are you a service leaver or thinking about leaving the military? Veteran or a service family member? Then we have something for you too.
Charlie, from the Dartmoor Zoo veterans programme, will be at Barclays, 12-3pm, to discuss a FREE 12-week programme, where you can get stuck into all kinds of amazing activities at the zoo, from building animal shelters to painting scenery, whatever your interests are! In a great environment with like-minded people.
If you have been toying with the idea of going to university, but are unsure if it’s for you or the next steps, the University of Plymouth will also be with us to support service leavers and veterans with any questions and make that transition from military life to student life. Drop in to chat with a lecturer.
City College Plymouth will be on hand to chat with you if you are considering a future in the public services or sports careers and have a range of courses to suit all levels.
Looking to meet new friends and get active? Plymouth Argyle Community Trust will be on hand to chat about their new programme ‘Team Talk’ which offers a chance to socialise and get physically active for those aged 18-35.
There are so many fantastic opportunities on offer, and Monday and Tuesday will offer the perfect chance to have a chat with some really great organisations - the air conditioning is pretty great too!!
No need to book just drop into Skills Launchpad Plymouth on the first floor of Barclays on either Monday or Tuesday, dependent on what you’re interested in.
If you need any further help, please do not hesitate to get in touch by emailing skillslaunchpad@plymouth.gov.uk or texting me, Emma, on 07917 264736.
