Here at Skills Launchpad Plymouth, there is plenty happening to support you in making changes and learning new skills! To save you scrolling through too many posts, here's a breakdown of what's on and when.
Monday to Friday, 10am to 3pm
Youth Hub appointments (for those aged 16 to 24)
Our friendly Youth Hub Coordinators will be joined by DWP Work Coaches every day to offer young people pre-booked appointments to discuss their options for skills, training, education, careers and jobs here in Plymouth.
They will also be joined on Tuesday by Charlotte from the Virtual School who is offering dedicated support to care leavers, and Hollie from The King's Trust on Wednesday and Friday to explore the latest programmes around hair and beauty, Teams, Enterprise.
This Wednesday, from 1.00 pm to 2.30 pm, join Stu and Mimi from NeuDICE—the UK’s leading neurodivergent support network—for an informal 90-minute workshop on workplace accessibility and neurodiversity. Learn how to identify your access needs, explore practical support, and discover inclusive communication styles. Gain confidence in advocating for yourself and creating a more neuroinclusive work environment.

Caring Plymouth Drop-in Session
Mondays are dedicated to anyone interested in opportunities in health and social care or childcare. This week’s session features the local adult social care workforce and service users, showcasing what it’s like to work in—and receive care within—adult social care.
Tuesday (open to anyone 16+), 10am to 3pm
Building Plymouth Drop-in Session
Tuesdays are dedicated to supporting those interested in careers in construction and the built environment. This week, we’ll be joined by representatives from Devon Contractors, offering advice on getting job-ready for Plymouth’s construction sector. Learn about career pathways, gain practical tips, and explore roles in trades and management—such as site management, groundworks, and bricklaying. Our coordinators will also be available for CV support, skills development, and training advice.
No booking needed—just drop in between 10am and 1pm.
Aged 19+? Ian from the National Careers Service is also available on Tuesdays providing pre-booked appointments for help with developing CVs, cover letters, and general careers advice.
Thursday (support for adults aged 25+), 10am to 3pm
Adult Hub Drop-in Session
This session is for job seekers, career changers, those at risk of redundancy, higher education graduates and the Armed Forces community, and offers dedicated 1:1 time with our coordinator Victoria to discuss your next move. Victoria can advise on all the latest skills, training, careers and job opportunities for adults here in Plymouth, and help connect you with our network of partners.
Friday (open to anyone 16+), 10am to 3pm
Welcoming Plymouth Drop-in Session
Fridays are our dedicated day for anyone interested in opportunities in Plymouth's visitor economy sectors - hospitality, retail and tourism. Drop in to meet with Rhianne to explore current vacancies in the city, as well as the latest skills and training available.
