Transitioning from military service into civilian employment can be both an exciting and challenging time. To support this journey, we are proud to be hosting an information event in partnership with AO Safety, focused on career opportunities within the health and safety sector for HM Armed Forces service leavers, reservists, and working-age veterans.

What makes this session particularly valuable is that it is led by a veteran who has already walked this path. Having successfully transitioned from military life into a thriving career with AO Safety, the speaker will share real-life insight into how Armed Forces skills, values, and experience align strongly with roles in health and safety.

The session will explore:

  • Training and qualification pathways

  • Career options within the health and safety sector

  • Progression and long-term development opportunities

  • How military experience can be transferred into civilian roles

Health and safety is a growing industry offering stability, progression, and purpose, qualities that strongly resonate with members of the Armed Forces community. Through this event, attendees will gain practical knowledge, inspiration, and confidence to consider a future in this field.

Beyond individual career development, the event also aims to highlight Plymouth as a city rich in opportunity. With strong employers, training providers, and a supportive Armed Forces-friendly environment, Plymouth offers an excellent foundation for those looking to build a successful civilian career after service.

By bringing together lived experience, professional expertise, and local opportunity, this event demonstrates our commitment to creating meaningful future pathways for the Armed Forces community.
