SCORE with Argyle Community Trust

Are you aged between 16-30?

Are you looking to build on your confidence and employability? The SCORE project could be just what you need!

In partnership with the Prince's Trust, Argyle Community Trust's SCORE programme is focussed on Employability. This six week programme is designed to empower adults to be the best they can be. The aim of the programme is to see young adults in Plymouth and the surrounding areas being trained and becoming “job ready”

It will boost the confidence and resilience of those who have been left out of work due to the COVID-19 pandemic, or those unsure of their direction within a changing environment, and for them to find skilled meaningful jobs, particularly roles within the Health and Social Care sector.

The course will cover:

  • Emotional Intelligence

  • Resilience

  • Confidence building

  • Being the best you can be

  • Mental health awareness

  • CV/cover letter writing

  • Interview techniques

  • Applying for jobs.

When: Monday 17 October

Where: Brickfields, PL1 4NE

Time: 09.30am – 2pm, Monday to Wednesday

The previous programme has seen participants go to Dartmoor Zoo and take part in team building exercises in the jaguar enclosure!

Not only is the programme FREE, but there are other perks available:

  • An Argyle branded t-shirt that is only available to people who participate on Argyle Community Trust courses!

  • Argyle branded bag, frisbee and stationery!

  • Level 1 Award in Behaviours, Attitudes and Attributes Required for Employment

  • Potentially a reduced membership fee to Brickfields Sports Centre for 2 months. The SCORE Project will pay for the first month of the reduced fee for membership!

This is a great opportunity to build on skills that you already have, meet new people, and boost your confidence. Why not come along and join in?
