There's lots going on at Skills Launchpad Plymouth at the moment, so to save you scrolling through too many posts, here's a break down of what's on and when next week.
Tuesday (open to anyone 16+)
Sector Drop-in Sessions, 10am to 3pm: For anyone interested in the construction and built environment or the health and care sectors, drop-in to Skills Launchpad Plymouth to find out more information about jobs, apprenticeships or further study. Our dedicated coordinators will be on hand to offer advice and support. You will be able to discuss everything from ideas that you have for your future, to your cv and general advice and guidance about your next steps.
Construction Jobs Drop-in, 11am to 2pm: Building Plymouth are holding a Construction Jobs Drop-in. This event is a great opportunity for qualified individuals and CSCS accredited labourers to connect with Building Plymouth members Kier and Award Group, as well as agency Sphere Solutions and labour sub-contractor, Danny Sullivan Group. This will be a fantastic opportunity to learn more about the sector itself, and find out about current vacancies in the area. You will also be able to meet our Building Plymouth Coordinators James and Morven. They will be able to support you with any questions that you may have about the industry, training opportunities and how you can become part of the construction and built environment!.
Aged 19+? The National Careers Service offer pre-booked appointments for help with developing CVs, cover letters, and general careers advice.
Wednesday (Youth Hub delivery for 16 to 24-year-olds)
1:1 Youth Hub appointments, 10am to 3pm with Rhi
Our Youth Hub Work Coaches from the Jobcentre will be meeting people for pre-booked appointments
Hollie from the Prince's Trust will be available to discuss upcoming opportunities
Thursday (Youth Hub delivery for 16 to 24-year-olds)
Find Your Future drop-in at Skills Launchpad Plymouth: Our Youth Hub Coordinators Rhi and Abi, have cleared their diaries between 12-3pm to support any care experienced young people in need of a chat and some direction. There’s no pressure to sign up to anything. It’s just a chat, and you can bring a friend or your PA. Pop in and give it a try.
Chris from CSW will be meeting people for pre-booked appointments to offer information, advice and guidance on planning your future, next steps and education to suit you.
Don't miss the Tea and Talk Drop-in session with on Course South West!
Following the success of their Lifelong Learning and Numbers Confidence Drop-in, On Course South West are doing it again!
They are hosting a festive tea and talk drop-in session.
This is perfect if you are thinking about learning something new. Maybe you fancy learning a new craft? Or would like to increase your confidence with numbers? Pop along for a mince pie and a cuppa! Grab your opportunity to discuss courses, qualifications, wellbeing, languages and more!
