There's lots going on at Skills Launchpad Plymouth at the moment, so to save you scrolling through too many posts, here's a break down of what's on and when next week.
Tuesday (open to anyone 16+)
Sector Drop-in Sessions, 10am to 3pm: For anyone interested in the construction and built environment or the health and care sectors, drop-in to Skills Launchpad Plymouth to find out more information about jobs, apprenticeships or further study. Our dedicated coordinators will be on hand to offer advice and support.
Caring Plymouth - Health and Care Jobs and Training Drop-in, 11am-2pm: Caring Plymouth are holding a Health and Care Jobs and Training Drop in. The perfect chance to pop in and learn more about the industry and the opportunities that are currently available in the area. This will be a great chance to meet with recruiting employers, including Inspiring On, Prestige, Alpha Care SW and Plymouth City Council. There will also be training providers on hand for you to explore your options, and you will be able to meet our Skills Launchpad Plymouth Health and Care Coordinators Jack and Lauren. They will be able to support you with any questions that you may have about the industry and how it works.
Aged 19+? The National Careers Service offer pre-booked appointments for help with developing CVs, cover letters, and general careers advice.
Wednesday (Youth Hub delivery for 16 to 24-year-olds)
1:1 Youth Hub appointments, 10am to 3pm with Rhi
Our Youth Hub Work Coaches from the Jobcentre will be meeting people for pre-booked appointments
Thursday (Youth Hub delivery for 16 to 24-year-olds)
Find Your Future drop-in at Skills Launchpad Plymouth: Our Youth Hub Coordinator, Rhi has cleared her diary between 12-3pm to support any care experienced young people in need of a chat and some direction. There’s no pressure to sign up to anything. It’s just a chat, and you can bring a friend or your PA. Pop in and give it a try.
