Monday (open to anyone 16+)
Sector Drop-in Sessions, 10am to 2pm:
Mondays are our dedicated day for anyone interested in health and social care, childcare, or the hospitality, retail and tourism sectors. Drop in and chat to our experienced coordinators to find out more. You can learn more about the sectors themselves, and how you can gain skills and qualifications to support your work journey. With a huge variety of job roles available in our city, this is the perfect way to get started!
Tuesday (open to anyone 16+)
Sector Drop-in Sessions, 10am to 2pm: Tuesdays are focussed on those interested in the construction and built environment, and the green economy. This is a great chance to talk to our coordinators Morven, Gareth, Jas and Victoria about skills and training opportunities in our area. They will be on hand to discuss everything, from the type of jobs available within the sectors, to skills and training opportunities available.
Aged 19+? The National Careers Service offer pre-booked appointments for help with developing CVs, cover letters, and general careers advice.
Wednesday (Youth Hub delivery for 16 to 24-year-olds)
Aldi Training and Apprenticeship Drop-in, 10am to 2pm:
September’s Training and Apprenticeship Drop-in is an Aldi takeover. The new Derriford store is opening at the end of October and the Plymouth team is currently recruiting for apprentice store managers, along with other vacancies for career starters across multiple stores in Plymouth. Whether you are interested in apprenticeships, paid employment, or taking steps towards this kind of opportunity in the future, drop in and see our friendly team to find out more.
Our Youth Hub Work Coaches from the Jobcentre will be meeting people for pre-booked appointments
Hollie from the Prince's Trust will be available to discuss upcoming opportunities..
Thursday ( Youth Hub delivery for 16 to 24-year-olds)
Find Your Future, 12pm to 2pm Our Youth Hub Coordinators Rhi and Abi have cleared their diaries between 12-2pm to support any care experienced young people in need of a chat and some direction. There’s no pressure to sign up to anything. It’s just a chat, and you can bring a friend or your PA. Pop in and give it a try.

University of Plymouth – Online talks
Trying to find the right course for you and learn about student life can sometimes be tricky. The University of Plymouth’s outreach team has several electronic resources and online talks that you can dip into at a time to suit you. The talks cover a wide range of topics giving an insight into Higher Education, including finance, student budgeting and choosing a course.

Boundless - Efford Youth Centre, 6.30pm to 8pm
A youth group for neurodiverse young people. A chance to make new friends, develop social skills and explore new opportunities.
Launchpad Live - Thursday 26 September, 4pm to 6pm
Plymouth Life Centre
We are attending Plymouth’s biggest interactive careers and skills event at the Life Centre this September! Whilst it is mainly for school groups, this 4pm to 6pm session is open to everyone, so do come along to explore the stands and discover endless career opportunities waiting for you.
Along with local employers and training providers will be our sector coordinators and friendly Youth Hub team, so come along and say hello!

Arts University Plymouth - Open Day - Saturday 28 September, 10am to 2pm
Deciding where and what to study can be a daunting task, that is why it is important for you to find out as much about the place and course you’re interested in as you possibly can. On the Open Day, you will get to explore the campus, visit nearby affordable student accommodation, and speak with academics and course leaders. You’ll even have the chance to hop on a bus and have a tour of the city!
