Leaving the Armed Forces can be a significant life change, but you do not have to take that next step alone. Argyle Community Trust's Next Mission: Employment programme is designed to support ex-service people as they transition into civilian careers, helping them build confidence, develop employability skills and explore new opportunities.
Running across four weeks, the programme takes place on Thursdays and Fridays from 10am to 2pm, providing a structured and supportive environment in which participants can focus on their future. Through a combination of practical workshops, one-to-one guidance and networking opportunities, attendees will gain the skills and confidence needed to move towards employment.
What you'll gain
Throughout the programme, participants will receive support to:
create or improve their CV
develop interview skills and boost confidence
identify how military skills and experience can transfer into civilian roles
meet employers and expand their professional network
explore career options and plan their future goals
Recognising the importance of wellbeing during career transitions, the programme also includes access to gym membership support and the opportunity to attend Plymouth Argyle matches.
Whether you're actively looking for work, considering a career change or exploring your options after leaving the Armed Forces, Next Mission: Employment provides the tools, guidance and encouragement to help you move forward with confidence.
