Plymouth Manufacturing Group (PMG), brings together more than 50 Plymouth-based companies to share information and experience and encourages the development of the industry. Among the members are specialist companies including Babcock, BD (Becton Dickinson), Bombardier Transportation, Burts, Collins Aerospace, Fine Tubes/Ametek, Hellermann Tyton, Kawasaki Precision Machinery, Mars Wrigley Confectionary, MSubs, NOV Fiber Glass, Plessey, Princess Yachts International, Rittal-CSM, Schneider Electric, The Barden Corporation and ViSpring. We also have Plymouth Science Park on our doorstep providing world-class office, research and laboratory space to support technology and science-based businesses to accelerate their growth and success.
Looking to train in the manufacturing and engineering industries? After school-based provision, there are courses from entry-level to postgraduate qualifications. City College Plymouth, the University of Plymouth’s School of Engineering, and South West Manufacturing Advisory Ltd (SWMAS) are great places to start.
