Plymouth is home to an eclectic, diverse, cultural and creative industries sector, which includes creative and digital media, audio-visual, design TV and film production, visual arts, music technology and games development.
Specialist Plymouth companies championing the creative industries include Arts Institute, University of Plymouth; Barbican Theatre; CAMP; Digital Plymouth; Grassroots Music Alliance; KARST; Marjon Arts Centre; Market Hall; Ocean Studios; Plymouth Arts Cinema; Plymouth Design Forum; The Box; The Gallery, Arts University Plymouth; Theatre Royal Plymouth and Visual Arts Plymouth.
Looking to train in the creative industry? Outside of school-based provision, there are courses from entry-level to postgraduate qualifications. From workshops with Ocean Studios to nationally recognised qualifications with City College Plymouth, Arts University Plymouth, Plymouth Marjon University and the University of Plymouth’s Arts Institute, there are lots of ways to get started.
