We were pleased to recently host Ian from the National Careers Service for an engaging Employability Workshop, designed to support individuals in strengthening their job application skills.

The session covered key areas of the application process, including how to create a strong CV, write effective cover letters, and prepare for interviews using the STAR method. Attendees also explored how AI can support job applications and were introduced to useful tools such as Abintegro, as well as opportunities for digital training and development.

Attendees left the workshop feeling more confident, better prepared, and equipped with a range of practical tools and techniques to support them in their future job applications and interviews.

If you missed this session, don’t worry—our next Employability Workshop will take place online between 10am and 12noon on Tuesday 7 July.

This sounds like a genuinely useful session

A lot of people underestimate how much difference small things like a strong CV, a clear cover letter, and practicing STAR interview answers can make. It’s good that they also covered AI tools and platforms like Abintegro — those are becoming pretty important in modern job searching.

Honestly, events like this are often more valuable than people expect, especially for building confidence before real interviews.

This sounds like a fantastic initiative! In today’s competitive job market, having the right tools and confidence can make a huge difference. Learning how to build a strong CV, write compelling cover letters, and use the STAR method effectively are skills that can help job seekers stand out from the crowd.

I also like that the workshop explored how AI can support the application process. Technology is changing the way we search for jobs, and understanding how to use these tools responsibly can save time and improve results.

It's great to hear that participants left feeling more confident and better prepared for future opportunities. Workshops like this provide practical knowledge that people can immediately put into action.
