Aged 16 to 24 and getting ready to live independently?
We're partnering with Plymouth City Council's Community

Connections Team to bring you a practical session on money, budgeting and independent living. Discover the support available, build your financial confidence, and get ready for your next steps.
Moving towards independent living can feel overwhelming, but having the right information can make all the difference. Whether you're preparing to move into your own home or simply want to improve your financial confidence, this session will provide practical advice, useful resources and access to support networks that can help you take your next steps with confidence.
What you'll learn
This practical, interactive session is designed to help you build financial confidence and prepare for independent living. The session will cover:
Income maximisation and accessing financial support
Budgeting and managing your money effectively
Housing-related financial support, including rent in advance and other available funding
How and where to access advice before problems arise
Better Off calculations to help you understand your financial options
Sources of ongoing support available in the community
There will also be dedicated time for questions and answers, giving you the opportunity to get advice and leave knowing where to access support in the future.
