Interested in opportunities in Health and Care?

If you missed the fantastic Health and Care Jobs Fair in the city centre this weekend, worry not, every Thursday between 12-2pm we host a FREE pop-up, job shop on the ground floor of Barclays in town, focused on all things health and care.

Led by our Health and Care Coordinators Jack and Keely, with support from local employers and industry specialists from the Plymouth Job Centre, this job shop is a must for anyone looking to get started in the sector, whether an education leaver or career changes, as well as those already experienced in the field and looking for something new.

Health and Social Care Skills Accelerator Programme

New to Health and Care, or thinking about upskilling? You may be interested in HASSP, the Health and Social Care Skills Accelerator Programme which is jointly funded by European Social Fund and Devon County Council. The project offers flexible courses that suit learners' individual journeys and support development and a career in the health and care sector.


The project finishes in December 2023 and offers a range of free courses from entry-level to level 5 which are delivered in Plymouth by City College and On Course South West. Other educational providers such as South Devon College, Learn Devon, Petroc and Exeter College also have a suite of courses that are free to access.


There is a range of both online and face-to-face courses available in subjects such as understanding Autism, Medication training, Safeguarding Vulnerable people and Counselling Skills.
