University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust are excited to announce that we will be holding a Healthcare Assistant Recruitment Day on Saturday 11th December 2021, on site at Derriford Hospital from 09:30 – 13:30.
We have exciting opportunities for enthusiastic, motivated Health Care Assistants to join various Units, Wards and Departments around the Trust in areas that specialise in Surgery, Medicine and Women’s & Children’s services.
Appointable candidates will demonstrate a positive, caring and compassionate attitude and have the ability to work as part of a team in a busy, ever-changing environment. Good communication skills and the ability to provide good support to a multi-disciplinary team are essential to successfully delivering high levels of patient care.
You will be highly motivated and committed to delivering patient care and providing support to other members of staff with nursing and administration duties in line with established guidelines and protocols. You must be able to work independently and under indirect supervision and have very good organisational skills and time management. We are patient focused here at University Hospitals NHS Trust and staff development is high on our agenda; we see your success as our success.
Successful candidates should have a Vocational Qualification in Health & Social Care L2 or an equivalent level of demonstrable experience, as a minimum standard, and be prepared to work towards the Care Certificate programme as part of in house training.
