City College Plymouth is proud to be a delivery partner for the Health & Social Care Skills Accelerator Programme (HSSAP).
Funded by the European social fund, the HSSAP programme has been designed with the intention of upskilling existing staff within the health and social care sector, whilst working alongside care providers to recruit new individuals into the field. Therefore, the programme is also available to those not in employment who would like to gain skills in the health and social care sector.
There are workshops delivered both online, and in person. You can expect a range of subjects, including Safeguarding, Dementia Awareness, Care Planning, Control of Infection and more!
To be eligible, you must:
have the right to live and work in the UK
be over 18 years old or, if under the age of 18, not in education, employment or training
interested in pursuing a career in health and social care
live in a Plymouth or West Devon postcode area.
These courses are FREE and the perfect opportunity for anyone already working in care, that would like to learn more, or anyone interested in pursuing a career within the industry.
