This week is Green Careers Week, a week organised by National Careers Week, with STEM Learning, to raise awareness of green careers in every industry.
It is a week that aims to raise aspirations, and promote real opportunities to have a career that will genuinely make a difference.
A green career can be any job, role or occupation that contributes to preserving or restoring the environment and our planet. It can be any industry, not just those seen as ‘green.’ Green skills are abilities, attributes, values, attitudes, knowledge, and technical skills needed to adapt services, processes and procedures to support climate change.
With up to 725,000 new green jobs needed to reach the UK’s net zero goals, there is plenty for us to learn and discover!
