Ready to make a difference this summer?
Are you aged 16–28? Interested in the conservation industry and keen to gain new skills and knowledge? Applications are now open for Summer Forest Rising – a FREE programme for young people passionate about nature, climate action, and creating greener places for people and wildlife.
Through a series of hands-on summer workshops at Poole Farm, you’ll explore what makes a Community Forest. Sessions run from Friday 24 July to Friday 28 August.
Workshops include:
Community tree nurseries and seeds
Tree identification and planting
Site surveying, soil and design
Tree aftercare
Woodland management and tools
Ancient woodlands and veteran trees
What will you gain?
