Dates for the diary! Apprenticeship Open Days with Greenlight Safety and Training

Greenlight’s Apprenticeship Open Days are back! Building on the incredible success of their previous Plymouth events, they will be pulling out all the stops for these very special Open Days, at their newly operational Apprenticeship Training Centre in Plympton.

If you've ever wondered what it's like to pick up tools and try a trade, then these are the perfect events for you! With two more dates to go, you need to add them to your diary!

When: Saturday 6 July / Saturday 7 September

Where: Huxley Close, Newnham Industrial Estate, PL7 4JN

Time: 10am-1pm

What can you expect on the day?

·       There will be a number of live demonstrations from different trades – With all the relevant PPE there for you.

·       Trainers will be there to offer advice and guidance, and answer any questions you may have.

·       You will be able to find out how the apprenticeships work and what your next steps can be.

·       FREE parking and refreshments.

There are fantastic days, open to anyone of any age and experience! Walk-ins welcome too!

Next Steps in Your Apprenticeship Journey:

1. Enrolment Evenings

• Sit down with our advisors to complete/discuss your application, answer any questions, and confirm your interest in moving forward.

1. Pre-Apprentice Assessments

• Visit our training centre for a session to assess your skills and behaviours. This is a great chance to show us what you’re made of!

1. Trial with a Construction Employer

• Experience the real work environment through a trial period with one of our esteemed construction employers.

1. Employment & Apprenticeship Commencement

• Successful trial? Congratulations! You’ll begin your employment and officially start your apprenticeship.

Training Schedule:

• Attend college days at our centre for three consecutive days once a month.

• Spend the remaining time gaining hands-on experience with your employer.

An apprenticeship is your gateway to a promising career in construction, providing you with the skills, experience, and qualifications needed to thrive.
