Confidence, preparation and a new job opportunity: A parent shares their experience

Our support for education leavers is now well underway, and we're delighted to share some wonderful feedback from a parent whose daughter recently secured employment with support from our Building Plymouth team.

Working closely with our Construction Coordinator, Gareth, she received advice, guidance and interview preparation support that helped build her confidence and prepare for the next step in her career journey.

Her parent shared:

"Bella used the advice and interview preparation support she received and found the confidence to attend her interview independently. What was expected to be a three-minute interview turned into a 90-minute conversation, and just 20 minutes after leaving, she received a call offering her the job. She was absolutely over the moon and so proud of herself. The employer also commented on her excellent CV. We can't thank the team enough for all their help and support."

This success story highlights how the right support can make a real difference. From building confidence to developing employability skills, we're proud to have helped this young person take their next step into employment and wish her every success in her new role.
