With funding from DfE through the #Train4Tomorrow bootcamp programme, they are offering residents of Cornwall, Devon, Dorset and Somerset the chance to sign up for a free industry skills bootcamp in IT, Cloud or cyber, including industry placement.
Cloud Readiness Bootcamp
Kick start a new career in the newest area of technology, engineering solutions in the cloud.
We are offering 30 delegates living in Cornwall, Devon, Dorset and Somerset industry leading IT CompTIA training covering IT Fundamentals, Hardware and Operating Systems and Cloud engineering skills. Blended with the technical skills taught, we will be providing candidates with confidence boosting personal skills in areas such as preparing and handling interviews, career planning, presenting and many more to ensure you are fully prepared to transition into an IT job role.
Technical topics:
CompTIA IT Fundamentals Install software, establish basic network connectivity and identify/prevent basic security risks.
CompTIA A+
Support basic IT infrastructure, basic networking and configure device operating systems.
CompTIA Cloud Essentials+
Understand cloud services from a business perspective, the business value, cloud types, steps to successful adoption, impact and changes on IT Service management, risk, and consequences..
CyberSafe Awareness
Identify the need for security, secure devices like desktops, laptops, smartphones and more. Use the internet securely.
Introduction to the Internet of Things (IoT)
Explains what the IoT is, what it does, how it works, and how you can become part of it.

The aim of the programme is to get all successful delegates through the boot camp and find them a workplace to lead onto employment in the region or as a remote worker to increase the opportunities available within six months of completing.
This is an outstanding opportunity. To quality you need to be a resident of Cornwall, Devon, Dorset or Somerset aged 19+.
The programme is ideally suited to unemployed or underemployed graduates who want to kick start a successful career in IT or cyber.
