David Podd and Chris Bailey from Barclays Bank delivered a focused and informative Financial Skills workshop for members of Skills Launchpad Plymouth’s Youth Hub and Adult Hub. The session took place at the Barclays branch in Plymouth city centre, offering participants a welcoming and accessible space to build their financial confidence.
With a small group in attendance, the Barclays team were able to tailor the workshop to individual interests and needs. Topics included understanding and improving credit scores, effective budgeting, the range of support available through banking services, fraud awareness and prevention, and the essentials of starting a business.
Attendees had plenty of opportunities to ask questions throughout, creating an open and engaging learning environment. Participants left with practical tips they could apply straight away and a stronger understanding of key financial concepts.
Feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with everyone highlighting how clear, engaging, and easy to understand the workshop was. The tailored approach ensured that each person gained useful knowledge to support their personal financial goals.
