Are you looking for an adventure and the opportunity to learn about your own skills and potential?
Sir Francis Chichester was a world war pilot and a solo yachtsman who circumnavigated his way around the world.
In his honour, The Sir Francis Chichester Trust was set up, and provides FREE places for young people aged 16 to 22 who live in Devon, to attend personal development courses at outward bound centres across the UK. The Trust aims to support young people who wouldn’t normally have the opportunity to attend, and would benefit from the experience.
The courses are designed to help you make an effective transition into sixth form, further education or employment, and it is a fantastic opportunity to have a life changing adventure with people from all over the world.
The course will allow you to challenge yourself, and work outside of your normal friendship group. By doing so, you will greatly improve your self-confidence and team working abilities, gaining a fresh perspective on your future, and in turn, obtain new hopes and aspirations!
The courses are held at the Outward Bound centres in the beautiful surroundings of the Lake District, Wales and Scotland, in July and August of this year. Interviews will take place in Exeter on the 2nd and 3rd of March.
The Sir Francis Chichester Trust will meet the full course fee (up to £1950/person) for successful applicants.
What are you waiting for? This is a huge opportunity to be part of a FULLY FUNDED outward bound course, where you will enjoy outdoor activities, make new friends, and learn about your own potential along the way!
The deadline for applications is 24 January 2023. Don’t delay!
