Inclusivity Statement
This statement was updated on 7 January 2026
At Skills Launchpad Plymouth, we are committed to fostering a workplace and public environment where everyone feels respected, valued, and empowered to thrive. We believe that diversity enriches our community and strengthens our ability to serve the public.
Inclusivity is at the heart of how our Skills and Post-16 team works, collaborates, and engages with visitors, partners, and colleagues. This commitment extends across our skill s and employment agendas, ensuring that every individual, regardless of background, identity, or circumstance, has fair access to training, career progression, and sustainable employment opportunities.
Through inclusive recruitment practices, tailored employability support, and partnerships with local employers, we actively remove barriers to work and champion equity in the local labour market. By embedding diversity and inclusion into our employment pathways, we help people gain the confidence, skills, and qualifications needed to secure meaningful jobs.
We invite everyone - staff, visitors, and partners - to join us in building a culture of inclusion and belonging. Together, we can create a workplace and visitor experience that truly reflects the diverse and vibrant community we serve, while supporting Plymouth’s ambition for a fair and inclusive economy.
