Skills Launchpad Plymouth is on hand to help those receiving exam results

As students across Plymouth near the end of the exam period, the Skills Launchpad Plymouth team is planning their summer delivery to support those who are uncertain about their choices and their next steps.

As the one-stop-shop for young people aged 16+, and their parents and carers, to access free impartial information, advice and guidance covering skills, training, education, careers and jobs, we'd like to take the opportunity to remind you of the free localised online resources here where you can access the latest apprenticeships and learn more about the options at 16 and 18. You can also keep up to date on the latest news and events across our city-wide partnership.

In addition to providing virtual support, from our central space on the first floor of Barclays Bank in the city centre, the team will be hosting sector-focused drop-in sessions for those interested in joining or undertaking further study in construction and the built environment, and the health and care sectors every Tuesday between 10am and 4pm throughout the summer.

Training and Apprenticeship Drop-ins, with representatives from local training providers in attendance will also be held on Wednesday 26 July, Wednesday 23 August and Wednesday 27 September between 10am and 2pm, in addition to more general Youth Hub appointments available every Wednesday and Thursday, between 12pm and 3pm.

Whilst a face-to-face appointment is not always necessary, it is recommended that if anyone is really stuck and needs 1:1 support that they sign up here to pre-book.
