Our Skills Launchpad Plymouth team is working closely with University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust and Plymouth City Council's Economic Development team to offer support to those Lighthouse Lab staff who are employed via agency as it has been announced that the COVID-19 testing lab will be stepped down on 31 March 2022, after opening a year ago.
We will work with key city partners, including DWP, to provide a bespoke service to support the agency staff who will see their placement come to an end.
Our aim is to signpost staff to new roles in the city and to any financial support available in the interim. University Hospitals Plymouth will look to offer opportunities across their wider workforce.
The support package will include staff briefings that cover: guidance and information about searching for a new job, updates about the Plymouth labour market with direct job matching where possible, details of government support available, as well as sessions about CV writing and interview skills.
These sessions have started this week and group and 1:1 sessions are on offer. To sign up for 1:1 support, please click here and a Skills Launchpad Plymouth Coordinator will be in contact.
