National Apprenticeship Week 2024 with Skills Launchpad Plymouth

National Apprenticeship Week is a week-long celebration of apprenticeships, and everyone involved in them.

From Monday 5 to Sunday 11 February 2024, employers, training providers and apprentices across the country will come together to shine a light on the positive impact that apprenticeships make to individuals, businesses and the wider community.

Here in the city, Skills Launchpad Plymouth has localised resources, including the latest Plymouth Apprenticeship Bulletin with over 320 opportunities, to help people better understand what vacancies are available locally, as well as an active news and events page containing up and coming opportunities for anyone aged 16+ with local training providers, support organisations and recruiting employers across the city.

As the theme for this year’s National Apprenticeships Week is “Skills for life”, it’s also a good chance to reflect on how the opportunity to ‘earn while you learn’ can help both young people to start their career journey, and adults to change career direction. Click here for the Youth Hub and here for the Adult Hub free localised online resources to find out more.

For businesses, apprenticeships are not only a good way to bring new talent into the workforce, but also a great option to upskill existing members of the team to ensure that they have future ready skills as job roles evolve and technology advances the way we work.
