Over the past six months, with the support of Jason from the Care Journeys team at Barnardo's, our Youth Hub Coordinator Jo, has been joined by special guests in Barclays each week to host a Find your Future session for care experienced young people.
This session is an informal opportunity for young people aged 16-24 who need help with their next steps, careers advice, or just a bit of chat, to come along and speak to someone - and it works really well.
With thanks to Jason, and our fantastic Community Coordinators Abbie and James, we are super excited to be expanding our Thursday Find your Future sessions so that in addition to the option of attending Skills Launchpad Plymouth in Barclays, from Thursday 24 February, you will also be able to attend pre-booked appointments at Care Journeys on Palace Street, Prideaux Court, between 1.00pm - 3.00pm.
There's no charge to attend either venue, in fact, if you're struggling to get into town and need a bus pass we can help with that!
Due to the continued high numbers of COVID-19 cases in Plymouth, this is a pre-bookable session for the moment, but we will be reviewing this and moving towards a drop-in session as soon as we are able. To book or find out more please e-mail skillslaunchpad@plymouth.gov.uk.
