Secure an apprenticeship
Did you know you can earn while you learn new skills?
Think that apprenticeships are just for school leavers and young people? Think again!
Apprenticeships are open to people of all ages, are real jobs with real training, meaning you can earn while you learn and gain a nationally recognised qualification from Level 2 up to degree level, depending on the role you are working towards.
The great thing about being an apprentice is you can get your career started by gaining new skills through combining hands on experience with qualifications (usually involves one study day a week). From learning hands-on skills like bricklaying or carpentry, hairdressing, business administration or customer service, teaching assistant, to technical skills and higher level apprenticeships in engineering and construction management, there’s a role that could suit you.
Take a look through the current apprenticeship opportunities, get in touch with Plymouth’s local training providers, and find out more about the advantages of undertaking an apprenticeship.
