Case study: Kelley

Kelley, 41 approached Skills Launchpad Plymouth at a time when she was lacking in confidence. With previous work experience within the community health and wellbeing sector, she wanted to see what her options were.

Kelley spent time with James, our Co-ordinator. After completing a skills action plan, it was clear that Kelley had plenty of potential, with lots of opportunities waiting for her. James had discussions around options moving forward and possible training opportunities with On Course Southwest.

Since dealing with Skills Launchpad Plymouth, Kelley has been working in a Customer Advisor role within a bank, and has now secured a permanent role with Sentinel Healthcare.

This is what Kelley shared:

“It's helped reassure me, like having a bit of hand holding if that's the right phrase. It's been good to know there is somebody there to help if I need it. It's like a full time job in itself looking for work, and it's quite hard, so having Skills Launchpad Plymouth has made me feel like I'm not completely alone. I am very excited about what's next!”

“I found Skills Launchpad Plymouth easy to access”
