The Focus Training Group has a traineeship in business skills (AAT Access Award in Business Skills) starting on Monday 10 May. The traineeship is a great way to experience working in an office environment and see if you'd like to commit to an apprenticeship, return to education, or gain some valuable experience to support your applications for full-time work.
Taking place over eight weeks, the scheme will involve spending two days a week in-house training at The Focus Training Group in Plymouth and then a further two days a week with an employer for a work placement - but don't panic, if a job interview was to come up during the eight weeks, there is some flexibility.
The traineeship offers an introductory level qualification in finance within a business environment. It is three units with one assessment with progression opportunities of study in bookkeeping and accountancy software including the Level 3 Assistant Accountant, or Level 3 Business Administrator, or Level 2 Customer Service.
The course will also include Maths, English, and Digital Skills qualifications (if necessary), support with CV writing, and sessions on interview techniques to improve employability.
There is no cost for this course, you just need enthusiasm to learn.
