George was referred to Skills Launchpad Plymouth from Discovery College. He expressed a big interest in sport and dreamed of working with Plymouth Argyle as a coach. After meeting at the Youth Hub, we discussed short and long term goals and as a result, George began volunteering with the Argyle team.
Over the month of June, George also attended our weekly SEND Employability Sessions with our Youth Hub Coordinator. The sessions covered identifying skills, CV writing and interview 'dos and don'ts'. George had great attendance and ensured he got the most out of each meeting.
By the final week, George had secured an interview for a supported apprenticeship with his dream employer, Plymouth Argyle, and we are pleased to hear that he secured the role! George was feeling confident thanks to what he’s learned over the sessions.
